On starting my diet which is normally 15 weeks out from the show, I start to go to the gym twice a day. Usually training one body part Each session 5 days per week. Monday to Friday, Usual routine would be to do a small body part in the morning i.e. / biceps/triceps/ shoulders. And a large body part in the evening i.e. legs/back/chest. I try maintaining heavy workouts; this I find keeps my muscles bigger and fuller. Rather than opting for light workouts with more reps. each individual bodybuilder has different approaches on this subject. At approx 5 weeks out from show I start power walking, about 1hr every day. This can be done on treadmill or my preference outdoors. You must try to maintain a steady 4 miles per hr to ensure you are targeting the fat. By this stage my body seems to go into automatic pilot, I awake religiously at 5am every day to do my walk. I start drying out in the last week, 5 days out. 2lt per day plus water used for whey protein 2 days out reduce this to 1ltr /still taking the water with the whey protein. on day of show just sips of water enough to wet the lips that all. Last 5 days up vit c to 6g.this is a natural diuretic and will help you flush any remaining fluid. and help to dry you out.
4 days out take 500mg of potassium 3 days out take 1000mg 2 days out take 1500mg 1 day out take2000mg DO NOT exceed this dose On contest day up vit c to 10g /10.000mg
Inositol is a fundamental ingredient of cell membranes and is necessary for proper function of nerves, brain, and muscles in the body. It also aids in the breakdown of fats and helps in the reduction of blood cholesterol. The night before show my last meal consists of 1lb of fillet steak and 4 poached eggs, washed down with a bottle of dry white wine. This too will help to dry you out. Breakfast on contest day same as night before but only 1/2lb of fillet. I will eat chocolate sparingly till its time to tan up and get pumped. approx half hr before getting on stage I sip brandy to help bring on vascularity......there is nothing more I can do now, but if I have got everything right I should be at my peak. looking hard and full....all that’s left to do now is enjoy the buzz and
